About the meetings of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Moldova at the Parliament and Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On 28 April 2026, a meeting took place at the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Toyly Atayev and the Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Turkmenistan Petru Burduja.

During the meeting, the sides had thorough discussions on current issues and the prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Moldova.

Specific plans to deepen cooperation were discussed, including the organization of reciprocal visits at parliamentary level and the expansion of contacts between relevant committees. Issues relating to the legal framework of bilateral relations were also considered.

The sides agreed to organize meetings on the reciprocal basis to expand cooperation at the parliamentary level, which is intended to contribute to the strengthening of the whole range of Turkmen-Moldovan relations.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

During a working visit to Chișinău, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Toyly Atayev had a meeting with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova – President Sergiu Haria and Vice-President Mihai Bilba. 

During the meeting, the sides discussed in detail the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Opportunities for increasing trade turnover and intensifying business contacts were explored.

The Turkmen side presented detailed information on the country’s economic potential and ongoing projects.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan invited Moldovan partners to actively participate in trade fairs and exhibitions held in Turkmenistan.

The Moldovan side expressed sincere interest in developing cooperation in the fields of energy, chemical industry and other priority sectors, including participation in business events.
