On March 1, 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia Mr. D.Muratov met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Mr. A.Khvtisiashvili at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
The sides noted with satisfaction that in recent years, Turkmen-Georgian relations have been successfully developing and strengthening on the bases of the principles of respect, trust and openness and are being built on a mutually beneficial and long-term basis. It was particularly emphasized that the agreements reached at the highest level have laid an important foundation for taking Turkmen-Georgian partnership to qualitatively new frontiers.
Among the key segments were the trade and economic sphere, in the implementation of which a significant role belongs to the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, the energy industry, as well as the transport sector, where favorable prerequisites have been created for the effective integration of efforts to establish multimodal transport and transit corridors, using the opportunities of the Caspian and Black Sea regions. The meeting also addressed issues related to the events scheduled for this year in Turkmenistan and Georgia.
The participants of the meeting also noted that the policy of Permanent Neutrality pursued by the President of Turkmenistan clearly demonstrates its relevance in the modern age, opening new prospects and opportunities for comprehensive progress, strengthening and expanding fruitful international cooperation.
