On May 8, 2023, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan A.Movlamov paid a call on the Rector of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Mr. Muhammad Jaffar. During the meeting, parties discussed Turkmenistan-Pakistan relations and the potential of cooperation in the field of science and education between Turkmenistan and NUML University.
The Turkmen side made a presentation about Turkmenistan’s neutrality policy and the social-economic developments of Turkmenistan. In this regard, the information about Arkadag City, which will be operated on the concept of a “smart city” and is being built by the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was highlighted.
In bilateral economic cooperation, the Turkmen side emphasized the huge potential of cooperation in the energy sector and the importance of the completion of TAPI and TAP major joint projects for the economic development of Pakistan.
Pakistani side highly valued the use of advanced and ecologically clean technologies in the construction of Arkadag city. Furthermore, it emphasized the need for early implementation of TAPI and TAP projects, which will greatly contribute to Pakistan's social-economic growth.
Both sides agreed on the significance of establishing cooperation and organizing joint events between the higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and Pakistan for further development of bilateral scientific and educational cooperation.
