On May 10, 2023, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia M.Ayazov held a meeting with the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia A.Aleksanyan.
The issues of transport and logistics infrastructure and the establishment of new logistics communications were dwelled on at the meeting.
The representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia raised the issue of using the transport and transit potential of Turkmenistan for Armenian trucks, and also asked the Ambassador to assist in the search for Turkmen cargo carriers, business partners in order to establish direct cooperation.
Ambassador M. Ayazov said that Turkmenistan today is actively promoting the development of transport and logistics infrastructure in the region, and comes up with various international initiatives in this direction.
In this context, the Turkmen diplomat told the guests that an International conference and exhibition "International transport and transit corridors: interconnectedness and development-2023" had recently been held in Turkmenistan, during which international experts and leaders presented their vision of new challenges and opportunities in modern realities, trends and prospects for the development of global trade, in the context of a rapidly changing economic situation.
It was also reported that during this authoritative transport forum, an exchange of views took place on the role of transport and logistics infrastructure in facilitating and increasing international trade, the importance of interstate cooperation in the development and activation of international transport and transit corridors.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the establishment of logistical communications between the two countries would contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the business circles of both states.
