On September 21-22, 2023, the third Forum of think tanks “China +Central Asia” was held in Xi’an (PRC), in which a delegation led by the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan J. Gurbangeldyev took part.
In their speeches, the forum participants reflected the current state and prospects for the development of China’s bilateral cooperation with each of the Central Asian states, as well as issues of interaction on a regional scale.
The Turkmen side emphasized the similarity of approaches and positions in solving fundamental problems on the global agenda.
Turkmenistan stands for the observance of equality and justice in international relations, respect for the territorial integrity of states and non-interference in the internal affairs of independent states, the implementation of sustainable development goals and support for effective measures taken by the international community in the fight against international terrorism, extremism, etc.
