The meeting of the leaders of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan was held

On October 11, 2019, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the President Emomali Rahmon arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Summit of the Heads of States’ Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Within the framework of the visit, the meeting of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan E.Rahmon with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held. During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of developing and strengthening friendly and neighborly relations, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation. Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation in the spheres of transport and communications, as well as international cooperation on water management issues.
