On January 27, 2020, the sixth meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian littoral states for discussing the draft Protocol on cooperation in the field of Securing Maritime Safety in the Caspian Sea began its work in Ashgabat.
The meeting is attended by experts from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Institute of the Caspian Sea, the “Türkmendeňizderýaýollary” agency of the Ministry of Industry and Communications of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, participants will discuss the draft Protocol and the coordination of proposals of the parties. This project, drawn up in order to cooperate in the field of Securing Maritime Safety in the Caspian Sea, has special priorities in the comprehensive development of the cooperation of Turkmenistan with the Caspian littoral states on a long-term base.
The meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian littoral states for discussing the draft Protocol on cooperation in the field of Securing Maritime Safety in the Caspian Sea will continue its work until January 29.
