On June 10, 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Turkmenistan, Mr. Kemal Muftich (with residence in Tehran), who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit.
During the meeting, speaking of the trusting relations between Turkmenistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the parties noted the intention to increase all-round cooperation and readiness for joint work on their further activation. In this context, the parties noted the need for political consultations between representatives of the foreign ministries of the two states. Noting the potential of bilateral relations, the sides expressed their proposals on expanding cultural cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the issues of interaction in the field of tourism, science and education.
During the dialogue, Mr. Ambassador speaking about international humanitarian activities of Turkmenistan noted the role of positive neutrality of the country in ensuring peace in the region.
Within the framework of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Turkmenistan Mr. Muftich presented copies of his credentials.
