On January 4, 2025, a presentation ceremony of the new book of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Magtymguly – the Sage of the World” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by the leadership and representatives of the foreign ministry of country, heads and staff members of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, faculty and students of the Institute, as well as mass media representatives.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Gulshat Yusupova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan Azizbek Madmarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Vafo Alibek Niyatbekzoda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov, Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat John McGregor, as well as scientists and professors of Turkmenistan gave speeches during the presentation.
It was noted that the richly illustrated publication has a high polygraphic style and is presented in three languages - Turkmen, Russian and English. The book, consisting of eight parts, is addressed to a wide readership, experts of science and fiction, researchers of creative heritage of Magtymguly Fragi.
The speakers noted that the rich literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi laid the foundation of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, while his ideas of peace, justice, humanism, friendship and brotherhood, respect for everyone make a significant impact on interaction with foreign countries.
The participants expressed their assuredness that the new book will become a valuable key to comprehending the rich literary heritage of the poet and thinker.
At the end of the event, the participants adopted an Address to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
