On November 20, 2017 in Paris, Turkmen-French political consultations were held on a wide range of topical issues with the Director of Continental Europe of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Ms. Florence Mancan, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Mr. Maurice Gourdo-Montan.
During the consultations, the sides exchanged views on the agenda of bilateral cooperation, as well as current regional and international issues of mutual interest. An agreement was reached to hold the following political consultations in 2018 in Turkmenistan.
In the afternoon, a meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce France-Turkmenistan. At the meeting the sides discussed issues related to the activities of leading French companies in Turkmenistan.
Also during the visit, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with the President of the French Institute of International Relations, Mr. Thierry de Montbrial. The meeting discussed the possibilities of establishing cooperation between the Institute and its Turkmen partners.
