On November 28, 2017 in Seoul, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea jointly with Sejong University organized a solemn presentation of the book "Turkmenistan - heart of the Great Silk Road" by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Leaders, teachers and experts of the educational institution, students and graduates of the university, the Chairman of the Korea-Central Asia Friendship Association, representatives of foreign embassies accredited in Seoul, as well as representatives of the Korean media took part in the event.
The speeches emphasized that the new book of the President of Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the study of the history of the foundations for the creation of a global Eurasian political, economic and transport cooperation, the unification of cultures and peoples of the East and West on the basis of common values.
The theme touched upon in the book is very relevant for Korea in the light of the study by the Korean side of issues connected with the historical heritage of the Great Silk Road. The topic of the Silk Road is particularly relevant in the framework of the "Eurasian Initiative" implemented by the Government of the Republic of Korea, aimed at creating a "unified creative continent".
After the solemn event guests and participants were offered dishes of national Turkmen cuisine.
