On March 1, 2018, the XIV specialized three-day exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran began its work in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. A delegation of leaders and representatives of more than 60 Iranian companies led by Iran's Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the forum.
The opening ceremony was attended by government members, leaders and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, sectoral ministries and departments, domestic entrepreneurship, public organizations, and the media.
At the beginning of the ceremony, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's welcome address was read to the participants of the specialized exhibition of the commodity producers of Iran and the joint business forum.
Addressing the participants and guests of the ceremony, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Shariatmadari expressed gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his personal contribution to the consolidation of peace and stability in the region, strengthening of fruitful cooperation and friendship between the two peoples.
Various types of energy-saving heat supply systems, multi-purpose power plants, industrial equipment for heating and cooling systems for poultry and livestock complexes, food processing enterprises and greenhouses, steel portable structures, profiles of various modifications and sizes, cable and electrical wiring, plastic and polymer products, pipe products , tile and ceramic tiles, as well as food and light industry goods, household chemicals are far from a complete list of goods exhibited in the pavilions of the exhibition.
The Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the representative office of the Saderat-Iran Bank in Turkmenistan also made a significant contribution to creating conditions for establishing close contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
A number of expositions are devoted to folk handicrafts and decorative and applied art of Iran, including antiques, mosaic "hatamkari", paintings and carpets, unique books, clothes and souvenirs which reveal the rich history and art of the Iranian people.
On March 2, the Turkmen-Iranian business forum will be held, during which representatives of business structures of the two countries will discuss issues of trade and economic cooperation, its most profitable directions taking into account national development plans and regional cooperation.
