On October 13, 2016 at the "COMSATS" Institute of Information Technology of Pakistan, Embassy of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in collaboration with the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan and the "COMSATS" Institute organized and conducted scientific-practical conference titled "Turkmen-Pakistani relations in the 25 years of Independence of Turkmenistan".
The conference was attended by the delegation of IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan headed by the rector B.Zahyrov, by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Mr. Waheed-ul-Hasan, former Pakistani Ambassador to Turkmenistan Tassaduk Hussein, heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited in Pakistan, leaders, teachers, graduate students and students of the "COMSATS" Institute of Information Technology of Pakistan, as well as representatives of the Pakistani media.
Turkmen representatives spoke at the conference about the achievements of Turkmenistan for 25 years of independence, as well as on the state and level of Turkmen-Pakistani relations. Speakers on the Pakistani side, including the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs V. Hasan and former Ambassador to Turkmenistan T. Hussein praised the Turkmen-Pakistani cooperation and major projects. In particular, it was highlighted the construction of the gas pipeline project Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India.
