On May 7, 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Turkmenistan (with the residence in Tehran) Mr. Octavino Alimudin.
At the beginning of the meeting, the sides expressed the need for further consolidation of efforts in developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Indonesia and exchanged views on the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the issues of interaction within the framework of international organizations. The parties considered prospects of cooperation in the fields of cotton industry, gas and transport.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the possibilities of activating mutually beneficial trade and economic relations between the entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and Indonesia. The parties noted the need to organize meetings of entrepreneurs of the two countries in the framework of the upcoming political consultations.
In addition, the parties stressed the special interest in the development of humanitarian ties, in particular in the sphere of education.
