On September 17, 2018 in the city of Garabogaz with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working trip to the Balkan velayat, solemnly opened a new industrial facility - the Garabogazkarbamid plant.
The solemn ceremony of launching the enterprise, which replenished the industrial infrastructure of the country's chemical industry, was attended by the country's leadership, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and media, and foreign companies.
The head of state cut the symbolic ribbon and proceeded to the building, where he delivered a welcoming speech.
The largest investment project in the region was carried out by foreign partners - Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) and Gap Inşaat (Turkey). The company uses the latest world technologies. So, the working out of the Danish company "Haldor Topse AS" will allow daily production of 2 thousand tons, and a year - 660 thousand tons of ammonia, used as the main raw material in the production of concentrated solid nitrogen fertilizer - carbamide. There will be produced 3 thousand 500 tons per day, and a year - 1 million 155 thousand tons of carbamide fertilizers, which are planned to be exported by sea.
To this end, the local port was completely reconstructed in the city of Garabogaz - the most important point of sending carbamide to foreign countries. With the output of the industrial facility for production capacity, the volume of carbamide production in the country will be more than 2 million tons.
Within the framework of the project, 10 two-storey houses of high comfort for 40 families were built for the plant's employees. The enterprise created about 1000 jobs.
A significant part of the fertilizers produced at the Garabogazkarbamid plant is planned to be supplied to foreign consumers, who already today show a high interest in the purchase of this type of chemical products.
