On September 19, 2018 on the eve of Independence Day, an exhibition of economic achievements of Turkmenistan was opened in Ashgabat.
Government officials, heads of the national parliament, sectoral ministries and departments, business circles of the country, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, ambassadors of Turkmenistan abroad, student youth, and media attended the solemn opening of the exhibition.
The main leitmotif of the present exhibition is the innovative development of the national economic complex, diversification of industry, building up the national economy, import substitution and export orientation of production.
Energy and industry, oil and gas, petrochemicals, construction and construction materials, transport and communications, textile production and carpet weaving, chemical industry, agriculture and water management, agro-industrial complex, medical industry, education, culture, sports and tourism, printing, nature protection and the results of the greening policy - the dynamics of development of all these spheres was reflected in video clips, colorful models, printed materials - booklets, brochures, magazines.
The exposition panorama illustrates high-tech equipment, modern building and finishing materials, computer and communication capabilities, achievements in the food industry, success in solving environmental issues, developing sport and tourism, scientific, human and cultural potential.
Domestic entrepreneurs and producers also demonstrated their opportunities at the exhibition, specializing in various fields - from the agricultural and food industries to the construction of residential houses, modern industrial enterprises and production of construction materials.
The exhibition will continue its work on September 20 inclusive.
On the same day, the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management hosted the scientific and practical conference "The Basics of Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan", in which leading experts from various economic sectors, scientists, representatives of the teaching staff of higher schools and students of the capital took part.
During the conference, reports were heard and discussed, which reflected the most important aspects of international economic relations, market relations, the development of banking, the introduction of innovative technologies and social policy into production.
