On May 15, 2023, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Sh.Meredov held a meeting with the rector of the Kyrgyz National University named after Y.Balasagyn T.Abdyrakhmanov.
During the meeting, issues of developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the university in the scientific and educational field were discussed. In particular, the rector of the university got acquainted with the set of activities dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and classical poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi.
In this regard, the parties agreed to hold a round table in September 2023, and in 2024 an international scientific conference "The contribution of Magtymguly's creativity to world literature."
In addition, the rector expressed support to the embassy in translating the works of Magtymguly Fragi into the Kyrgyz language.
