From May 21 to May 25, 2023, the 90th annual General Session of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) is being held in Paris, which is attended by representatives of 182 member countries, as well as experts from international organizations. The Turkmen side is represented by the leadership of the State Veterinary Service of Turkmenistan at this Forum.
During the current session of the OIE, issues of the epizootic situation among animal diseases in the world were discussed. At the same time, special attention was paid to the protection of wild fauna on a global scale. Reports on the implementation of the 7th OIE Global Plan for 2022 were made by the Director General of the Organization, Monique Eloi, the leading representatives of the OIE and FAO.
In addition, administrative and technical resolutions were adopted during the meeting.
