Turkmen-Chinese Dialogue on the upcoming session of the People's Council of Turkmenistan was held in Beijing
On the 30 July, 2026, a Turkmen-Chinese Dialogue on the occasion of the upcoming session of the People's Council of Turkmenistan was held in Beijing. The event focused on July 15th meeting of the Presidium of the People's Council of Turkmenistan (Halk Maslakhaty), under the leadership of National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, our Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Council’s important resolutions.
The Dialogue was jointly organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the PRC and the “China-Turkmenistan Business Council Ltd.”, with participation of Turkmen diplomats, students, prominent Chinese political scientists, professors, heads and representatives of well-known public organizations such as China World Peace Foundation, heads and representatives of academic and educational institutions from Qinghai and Gansu provinces as well as high-tech companies.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the People's Republic of China opened the festive event, who, briefed the distinguished guests on the consistent work being carried out in our country based on the guidelines by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the tasks outlined by our Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the high-level organization of the next session of the People's Council of Turkmenistan.
Furthermore, the Ambassador acquainted the participants of the Turkmen-Chinese Dialogue on Turkmenistan's social well-being and economic development, as well as specific areas and long-term objectives of the Turkmen-Chinese strategic cooperation.
It was particularly noted that recently, on Turkmenistan’s initiative, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted the resolution "Year of International Law, 2028" co-sponsored by 78 states, including China.
Subsequently, speeches were delivered by Professor Wang Sihai, Director of the Turkmenistan Studies Centre at Lanzhou University; Ms. Ma Xiaoai, Deputy Director of the Central Asia and Turkmenistan Research Centre at Qinghai Nationalities University; Mr. Chen Yongsheng, Vice President and Senior Researcher at the Gansu Academy of Social Sciences; Mr. Yue Gaofeng, Honoured Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan; Mr. Yu Hui, Vice President of Duban Insurance Company; Ms. Ma Tinnan, Assistant Researcher at the Central Asia and Turkmenistan Research Centre at Qinghai Nationalities University; the Secretary-General of the "China-Turkmenistan Business Council Ltd."; and others.
The speakers outlined the milestones achieved and the goals set in Turkmen-Chinese relations during the year celebrated under the theme "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purpesful Heavenly Horses" which also marks the glorious 35th anniversary of our sacred Independence.
